Princess Corbin

My child is the epitome of vain. She loves looking at herself in the mirror and chattering away. She is just fascinated with her reflection, no matter where she may find it: the oven, a large cooking pot, the faucet in the bathtub, ANYWHERE. It cracks me up because she actually "primps" while she's in the mirror by fussing with her hair. If it's a ponytail, she'll touch it. If it's bows, she wants to pull them, and if it's just hanging loose, she's running her hands over it.

Lately she's become infatuated with this plastic tiara that found its way into her toybox. She gets excited when you put it on her, runs to the mirror to see, and then goes to adjust it, which means she takes it off. When she realizes she can't put it back on, she gets upset and then brings it to me to put it back on.

Here's a little peek!

This time she has found her reflection in the glass of the doors leading outside. And she's strutting her stuff as Princess Corbin, devourer of brownies. :)

Sugar Rush!

This morning I was woke up by insane giggling. Turns out, Corbin had a bit too much sugar at breakfast and she is practically bouncing off the walls. She's had a Little Dog Rodeo and she just can hardly contain herself.

Just see it for yourself. :)

Sorry about the high-pitches. She gets a little too excited sometimes.

Also, those are CLEAN CLOTHES on the floor, lol. Time to fold and put away the laundry! :)

Beach Baby!

One of the perks of living down here in Hinesville is that we are within driving distance of several beaches. We've been down to Tybee twice, but unfortunately, the first time we went, it was raining! While the beach was beautiful during the downpour, it was much too cold for our baby girl.

Luckily, we had some friends come down to visit this week and Monday afternoon we loaded up and drove back down to the sandy shores of Tybee, and this time the weather was much more appropriate!

Corbin loves water, and so she loves the ocean! She gets very upset when we don't let her run away into the waves, but the current is pretty strong! It's okay, though, she still had a blast, and here are some of the highlights of our trip!

Playing in the mud sand with daddy.

Mmmmm...that muddy sand stuff is tasty!

Trying to escape into the deep blue sea!

Oh no! Daddy reels her back in.

Playing chase with daddy, hoping to escape again!

Sand at sunset. This is the BEST time of day to hit the beach!

Moving on to dry sand...

For some reason she thought it was a good idea to stick her face in it repeatedly, lol.

An analogy for life? :P

Corbin playing in the shells, while the birds try to steal her crackers.

Get on away from me and my crackers!

Yes, the birds were like magnets. Less than a minute after I pulled out the cracker and gave it to her, there were about five of them flying just above her head. They started landing and surrounding her, and I got a bit nervous, but they flew away when I ran towards them!

So after fun in the waves and sand, I doused her off with a spray water bottle, removed the swimsuit and swim diaper, and it was time to go back home again. She slept like a rock, heehee.

Until next time! :)
