21:365 Ponytail!

3/13/10

As I was going through pictures on my camera, I realized I was missing a day, only to find this one on my Blackberry! My camera battery was dead, so I made do with what I had at the time!

This picture was taken on a Saturday that I spent with my sister Apes. She shattered her foot in a car accident, so we were grocery shopping together and she was riding in a motorized cart and I was wheeling her crutches around in the buggy. Corbin's hair was ALL OVER THE PLACE (as usual), so I decided to see if I could get all of it up into one ponytail.

It was long enough!! I can't believe how long her hair has gotten! It's so pretty, too, because it has those little soft curls at the ends...I can't help but be jealous. All she has to do is wake up and she already looks beautiful. Now if I could just break her of rubbing her food into her hair, haha.

An outtake, of the side view:

CRAZY!

PS. If I ever get caught up on uploads (and next week is Spring Break, so I should have PLENTY of free time), you guys will see that she finally got a haircut, haha. She now has sideswept bangs...when they want to cooperate!

20:365 Line Art

3/12/10

Corbs has become overly obsessed with writing utensils. Even more obsessed with writing utensils than she is with Yo Gabba Gabba, and if you know Corbin, you know that's saying ALOT. This was from a Friday night sushi date where the only way we could keep her occupied was to give her a pen and a canvas (napkin) and let her have her way. She looks pleased.

Also, just one super adorable outtake for the day:

I love sleeping babies. She's so stinking cute, although her position looks awkward and uncomfortable, huh? I guess whatever works for my baby girl. :)

19:365 Splish-Splash!

3/11/10

Just a fun overhead shot of the Corbs in the bathtub. :)

All those little blue-backed foam Gabba characters are her Gabba bath buddies that I found on Amazon a while back. She still loves those things. Now she likes to line them up on the wall and point to each one and count to ten. So adorbs, right? ;)

18:365 Yoooooooooo....

You know what comes next, right?

Totally a silly picture, but it was the best I got from that day. And yeah, she wore the same shirt two days in a row. What of it? lol She's so silly. I love how totally vegged out Ryan looks in this picture.

17:365 Princess NOMS

I edited this picture several days ago, but never got around to uploading it. I LOVE IT, her face just cracks me up so much. I just hate that it was a tad bit on the blurry side! Wish so much I could invest in a new camera, but I'll work with what I've got in the meantime!

This was at Burger King, and in her kid's meal she got a Pinkalicious tiara. Not sure who Pinkalicious is, but I definitely approve!

Corbin loves this tiara. She carries it around the house and can actually get it to stay on her head. I'll ask her if she's the princess and she says, "Princess!" Too stinkin' cute, I know. She also likes to try to put the tiara on my head, but she usually just pokes me in the eye. Gotta love it. ;D

PS. Corbin is becoming SUPER PICKY about what she eats. If it's not chicken nuggets or hot dogs, she's not touching it. This has become quite frustrating!

16:365 *poke*

Yeah, I'm pretending like I have a free moment to upload and blog.

Who am I kidding, haha.

This is from.......laaaaaast....*thinking hard* Monday, the 8th! So this is over two weeks old. Gaaaaaah, I have so much catching up to do. I think I'm going to have to cut back on the outtakes because it's taking waaaaay too much effort to edit and upload all those pictures!!

Good thing there isn't one for this particular day!

This is also SADLY a camera phone picture because the battery was dead in my camera that day. It was an interesting shot, so I think I'm going to revisit this scenario soon and try to do something cool with it!

Disclaimer: Candle was not lit, nor had it recently been lit. :)

15:365 Sharing

Ah, where did we leave off? I am soooooo behind (today will be Day 26, so I'm almost ten days behind in uploads, eeee!), but I'm working to get caught up. As usual. :)

This is from last Sunday at Allison's third birthday party. So hard to believe that little Allie-Oops is already the big three!! Wow! She seemed pretty thrilled at her party; just take a look at these pics!

I love that first picture where she's kinda looking sideways like, "Haley better get on away from my presents..." I don't think she was really feeling 100%, but she still seemed to have a good time in her adorable fairy get-up.

Corbin arrived at the party and found herself most especially interested in the balloons!

I think the fact that her hair was sticking to the balloon completely fascinated her, lol.

After the presents were all opened, Allison had received some pretty cool magnet books that Corbin seemed to be interested in (she loves books, so of course these caught her interest more than the dolls did):

It wasn't long before Allison and Haley also became interested, which is where the shot for the day came from:

I love this picture so much because if you guys remember Allison's birthday party LAST YEAR, they weren't so keen on the whole "sharing" thing!

And even cuter that they shared with Haley, too. :)

Isn't it crazy to see how much they've all grown up?! Can't wait to have them all together again for Easter! :D

14:365 Do Not Disturb!

Last Saturday, the Corbs and I heading to Macon to spend some time with my Nanna and get ready for Allison's birthday party on Sunday. Saturday consisted of a three-hour car ride to Nanna's, out to lunch at El Sombrero, strolling around Walmart, strolling around the Macon Mall, strolling around Target, a quick toilet paper trip at Kroger, and finally back to Nanna's, ALL WITHOUT A NAP!! This child has some serious stamina, but by the end of it, she was conked out hardcore.

[Not sure why, but this picture keeps uploading sideways, although it is showing up correctly when I open the file from my computer. I've given up on it.]

Corbin was also reunited with her favorite pink blanket that she left behind.

One outtake for last Saturday:

I love how beautiful and peaceful sleeping babies are. I wonder what they dream about?

13:365 Through the looking glass...

With the new Alice in Wonderland movie coming out, it seems as though the world around me is full of whimsy and wonder and an obession with Cheshires and Mad Hatters. This picture reminded me of the second part of the book (I've yet to see the movie), as Corbin likes to interact with her alternate self in the mirror. She hardly ever seems interested in other children, even when she's completely surrounded by them and they are knocking her over (*coughplaygroundatthemallcough*); it's Corbi-lou II through the looking glass that catches her fancy.

Also, YES, I'm aware that the giant bow on her head is the coolest and most adorable thing ever. I'm kinda glad that Target is so far away from me, because I'd more than likely spend every penny of my paycheck there on Corbin's wardrobe alone!!

More pictures! :D

Coloring in her Nihao Kai-lan coloring book. Those crayons are turning up everywhere and on everything. So glad I bought the washable ones!

My doe-eyed beauty. :)

Envious of her lashes!

She's not the biggest fan of hair accessories, much to my dismay! lol

Posing in a chair while waiting to leave. (Whoops, forgot to edit the red-eye! Oh well!)

Okay, mom, I'm ready to go to Target! :D

Yes, a trip to Target did follow this picture and I found the CUTEST SHIRT that she wore on Sunday to Allison's birthday party. Hey, it's okay, it was only $4! :D

12:365 Messy!

I'm so horrible about blogging, but at least with me doing this 365 project I know I can't put it off FOREVER! I'm trying to get caught up over the next two days, so just bear with me, as usual. :)

So this first entry is from LAST THURSDAY (yeah, yeah, I know... :P), and this is the aftermath of Corbin's dinner. She has a tendency to throw her food overboard when she's finished eating, and I guess it's because she knows the dogs are going to eat it. She also likes to "sprinkle" her food, and I gave her some cornbread, and so I'm sure you can imagine the mess she made, right?

And despite what you all may think, Corbin really does like sweet peas! They are some of the only green vegetables the child will eat! I think she's going through picky-eater toddler phase. Chicken nuggets, fish sticks, and hot dogs. That's about it, lol.

Outtakes, of course!

EXTREMELY amused by the mess she's accomplished.

Who me?

Also skilled at messing up clean laundry piles as she runs around the living room with her basket over her head.

My child, a true basket case. ;)

Okay, so look out for a bunch more posts today! Sorry for the overload. :D

11:365 Fruit Loops!

When Corbin wants a snack, she knows that it usually comes in a box. She finds her way into the pantry, finds her snack of choice, and then brings the box to you. She wants you to open the box and distribute the noms. She usually has a small plastic bowl that is filled with cereal (her favorite snack) and she sits contentedly and eats until it's gone. She's gotten pretty bad about snacking and then not eating her dinner, so it's something we definitely need to cut down on!

Wednesday she enjoyed some Fruit Loops noms.

She ran off with the bag and the bowl, and so she decided to help herself in taking cereal from the bag and putting it in her bowl. Needless to say, she missed, and she found it quite hilarious to "sprinkle" the floor with the pieces!

Some outtakes!

First, she brought her bag of cereal to the couch and tried to serenade it.

Next, she tried to eat the cereal right through the bag! We are impatient! And I kept trying to get her to "get that bowl" and bring it to me so I could fill it up for her, but instead she just kept saying "Get that bowl!" and pointing at it over and over, lol.

Taking cereal from the bag and transferring it to the bowl.

Totally zoned out. Can't remember what was on, but she was really into it, haha.

Okay, I'm calling it done for today (at least for now!). Hopefully we'll get some good ones this weekend because Sunday is Allison's birthday party! :D

10:365 SHADES!

When Ryan and I go running, we always have the Babe in her stroller, and sometimes the sun will shine right in her face and she hates it. She takes to hiding under her blanket, so I've been trying to get her used to the idea of sunglasses. She had a pair a while ago, but they are too small for her face now and pretty scuffed up. I found this adorable Nihao Kai-lan pair at Payless and had to get them!

I think she likes them! This picture cracks me up. She always seems so surprised when we put the sunglasses on her, and then she tears them off of her face to look at them. Then she tries to put them back on and will bring them to one of us for assistance. She's such a silly girl. She always knows what she wants and how to get it. ;)

A few too cute outtakes:

When I first put them on her. She was excited!

Posing, looking oh so cool.

She climbed on top of me and was trying to put them on my face. She's been doing that lately; the other day she stuffed her pacifier in my mouth!

Also, you can see her spider bite in these pictures. It's healing up nicely and fades a bit more every day. I think she's going to have a scar, though, since she knocked the giant scab off pretty early on. The new skin tissue is really shiny. We'll see, though! She's so sensitive to bug bites!

9:365 Reflections

Monday meant back to work for me, and sometimes I find it hard to get up that morning when the alarm goes off. This picture is from when I got home from work, tore my hair from it's messy ponytail, and gave my Corbi-lou a bath. One of her favorite things to do when she gets out of the tub is stand in the mirror, wrapped in her towel, and have a conversation with her reflection. It's hilarious. I grabbed the camera and we had fun trying to get a good picture of ourselves.

My clothes look awful on me. I'm down 22 pounds now, and so the clothes I was wearing back at 180 are baggy and loose. Time to invest in some new pieces? I'm just so happy that I've been so successful and have made so much progress in just over two months. It blows my mind.

I did have some outtakes from this day, but as they were of naked Corbin after she escaped her towel, I didn't find them very internet appropriate. :)

8:365 Naptime

Yay, it's Friday! And now I'm about to post my picture from Sunday! I'm so behind!! Maybe I'll be able to get caught up over the weekend, but who knows? I've got to be more diligent with my blogging! It's the giant procrastinator in me. :)

So Sunday the Lewis grandparents came to visit, which means that Corbin wanted nothing to do with any sort of nap whatsoever, and when she finally did cave to her body's biological pull for rest, this was the picture I was able to capture:

Her crib is near the window in her bedroom, so I went in there and quiiiiietly crept up to her bed and quiiiiiietly pulled the blanket away from the blinds to let some light in and snapped this picture. After the third shot, her eyes rolled open, but I could tell she was still asleep. Regardless, she let out a whine and I took that as my cue to get out of her room and let her sleep in peace. :)

7:365 BFFs

Okay, I'm working on getting caught up, FINALLY! I'm dealing with major car issues the last few days and it's really stressing me out. Sometimes I really just don't have a chance to sit down and fart around on the computer, and I get home from work, go running (which I haven't done since Sunday), eat dinner, and then pass out. Lather, rinse, repeat.

But I have been trucking along and making sure to get a picture of the Babe every day, and these are the pictures from Saturday. It's another sidewalk chalk day, but this time her best friends, the Gabba gang, are making an appearance! :)

I really had to brighten the colors up on this picture because winter time is SO DULL, not to mention it was absolutely DREARY and cold on Saturday, and Ryan and I were both sick. We still made time for her to get outside, though, so she could have some fun. Ryan drew all of the crew from Yo Gabba Gabba, and she helped smear them into the patio. :) Some outtakes:

This first one cracks me up because she looks like she's consulting her Gabba book before adding to her masterpiece.

Admiring her work. Yep, Toodee looks great!

She was adding some color to Foofa's flower. She's pretty excited, and completed covered head to toe in chalk! :)

So that was Saturday. Now I have to get Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday edited and uploaded, and then not to mention today's post! AAAHH! I'm on it! :D
