Pretty, Pretty Princess

I want to preface this post by saying that Corbin has had diarrhea for almost two weeks straight now and our diaper supply is decreasing exponentially. We took her to the doctor on Monday and he said that she has some sort of virus (she was also covered in a full-body rash), and that the rash indicated she was no longer contagious and that it should almost be over.

I have yet to see an end to the poop up the back diarrhea. She is going through quite a few outfits a day, not to mention the sheets needing to be cleaned. I managed to get her diaper rash almost completely healed last week, and now it is back again, looking almost as bad. I'm almost out of diaper rash cream.

She is also teething. She is NOT happy, especially when we are in public. She wants to scream and cry and be extremely loud. I try not to let it stress me out, but I'm so used to my happy and carefree baby, and I just want these teeth to hurry up and come in! It's her top two teeth and you can see that they are about to cut through, so I wish they would just get on with it already! It doesn't help that my wisdom teeth are cutting in as well, with one of them coming in very sideways and making my whole mouth sore. Sigh.

Anywho. Over the weekend, we went down to Macon. Sunday was my niece Allison's second birthday and so we had a little birthday party for her. Corbin has loved hanging out with Allison the last few times we've been down, and this time was no different.

Since it was Allison's birthday, she got to wear a princess crown. Corbin was also given a princess crown, which was the one that Allison wore on her birthday last year. A wand came with the new crown, and Corbin desperately wanted to be in possession of it. It went back and forth a few times, and Corbin shed a few tears, but in the end, she had a good time. :)

Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

My Nanna and the girls. Corbin, Allison, and Haley.

Corbin watching Allison play with the wand. She really wanted it, lol.

Aunt Franki let Corbin have a turn with the wand, which made her very happy.

Until Allison thought it would be quite the laugh to take it away!

As you can see, Corbin didn't take this very well!

Don't worry, the tears didn't last long. She was in possession of the wand after we all had a good laugh. The girls then went outside and basked in the warm afternoon sunshine on Allison's new vehicles. It was a good day, and I had lots of fun.

Can't wait until the next birthday party...Corbin's FIRST BIRTHDAY!! Stayed tuned! :D

An Unusual Milestone

Today I had to lower the crib mattress in Corbin's crib. She was able to pull her leg up with her knee and lower leg completely parallel to the top rail of her crib. This was terrifying me, although she seemed to find it rather amusing. The last thing I want is for her to drop something out of her crib (something she does for attention quite frequently), and then lean over to reach for it (which she does), and topple out of the crib headfirst.

Scary, scary, scary!

Happy Ten Months, Corbi-lou! (A few days later :D)

Corbi-lou's First Car

A couple of weeks ago, our little family attended the fabulous sixth birthday party for Emma's daughter, Dejanae, at this crazy place here in Athens called Pump It Up. It's a place that has different rooms/arenas of different types of bouncy castles. Total fun for all the kids (and everyone else), but not something that little Corbin could participate in.

(Except her daddy did take her up the two story slide and went down with her. She seemed to really like it, except for the fact that she was super tired and withdrawn during the entire party. Very unlike our baby.)

In one of the rooms, they had a few little cars, and the first one that Corbin rode was the pink ATV.

After a few minutes, it seemed that Corbin was not fully satisfied with the ATV. Hence, the overly large pouty lip.

So we found a different car to try.

It seems as though this car was to her liking, as she took the trying to push herself around in it (although she kept going backwards, lol).

Nyla, on the other hand, seemed to find the ATV the perfect vehicle for her, and took off into the sunset, dust flying behind her.

Okay, not really, but they did have a lot of fun with the little cars. :) At one point they were in the coupe together, but Corbin slid out of the bottom of it!

I'm looking forward to the next birthday party we get to attend (as this was our second). I believe it's going to be her favorite cousin's, Allison!

Until next time! :)

Nine Months & Cute Pictures

[Pre-bath picture...she was looking pretty gross! Heehee.]

I haven't updated in almost a month! I guess it's needless to say that Corbin had a great Christmas and she got a TON of toys. She has her favorites, which is fun, but we now have a huge Rubbermaid tub full of baby toys. She can also pull herself up to standing on any and everything, and will proceed to do so with her toy box, and rummage through it and pull out what she wants.

She also likes to pull laundry out of clothes baskets.

Or things out of my purse. Just the other day she had my wallet and was waving it around, screaming. I think she was upset that there was nothing of use inside!

Tomorrow Corbin will be nine months old. Time is FLYING! I have lately found myself going back and looking at pictures of her when she was three months old, and it's so neat to see her little face growing and changing. She still looks way too much like her daddy, but I can see a little bit of me in there, too! Her personality is also developing rapidly, and she is a sassy little thing!

To catch up a bit from Christmas until now, I present a plethora of CUTE PICTURES! :D

Enjoy!

Corbin got a ton of toys for Christmas. This was at Ryan's parents', where we spent Christmas morning. I like putting the bows on her head!

This is probably my favorite picture of her in her Christmas dress!

She was tired and ill, but this picture is hilarious because she looks like she is very unhappy about the toy she just received!

She doesn't seem to like crawling if there isn't carpet, so she does this weird "monkey crawl" so her knees aren't touching the ground!

My other children, Winston and Madison, cozied up on my mama's couch.

Naked bath picture! These are always classy, heehee.

So my niece, Allison, was VERY interested in watching Madison drink from this bowl of water...

...and I guess she decided to see what was so good about it! Am I evil for NOT stopping this from happening and taking a picture instead?

The two of them are very into each other. Here, they share their toys. Aw. :)

Allison came over one night and started asking where the baby was. She quickly found Corbin asleep on the couch and decided to join her.

Trouble in the making.

They already look guilty! It's going to be interesting to see the two of them grow up together!

Well, I guess that's all for now! I'll try to be better about updates, because Corbin is so fun and spunky and I like to share her life with everyone! <3
