It's Almost Spring!
Yesterday when I got home from work, I threw on some shorts, we loaded up or bikes, and we drove to the playground. I was thinking we were having too much fun and I should call and invite my sister when lo and behind, she pulls up with her family! We had a blast hanging out and watching the kids. Corbin is getting really brave and really tough!

112:365 Mountain Climber!
6/12/10
Checking my calendar, June 12th was a Saturday, and it seems that we needed to get ourselves out of Hinesville for the day and so we traveled to Savannah. We always let Corbin play when we go to the Oglethorpe Mall, but this time she was a little more adventurous than usual!

EEK, my baby!!
And these kids were running around EVERYWHERE! I swear I thought I was going to have a heart attack!

Do these pictures not terrify you?!

But for Corbin, it was all about the slide. She is obsessed with slides. She will try to use ANYTHING as a slide. And she realized that the side of this "mountain" was a good slide, heehee.

At least she wasn't trying to slide down my leg, which she's done before. I'm telling you, she's a genius, lol.

96:365 At The Playground!
5/27/10
Last Thursday, my last day of school for the year (WHOOHOO!), we loaded up and took Corbin to a nearby elementary school to play on their massive playground. It was super awesome! She was ready. Playgrounds are serious business. And so are those pigtails, haha.

One of the first things we did was hit the swings. Man, we had a blast! Ryan took pictures, and some of them came out pretty funny, but I really loved this one!

Corbin had to try out every little piece of playground equipment, even this weird thing, lol.

And if there are three things my baby loves, it's 1. Sticks. 2. Sand and 3....

SLIDES! Wow, does she love slides. As soon as we got to the playground she ran up to the first one and said, "Slide!" And she had to try them all out. And there were several.

She was such a big girl on the slides, too! She went down that big curly slide all by herself. I told her to wait for me, and as we were at the top getting situated, she just went on down! And I thought the height was rather intimidating! Go Corbin!

Fun at the Park
There is an amazing playground in Athens called World of Wonder, and it is the largest community built playground in the state. Ryan and I had went there before we were married once and had a lot of fun! My friend Emma decided that she wanted to take her daughter Dejanae up to the playground, and so Corbin and I hopped in the car and drove across town!
As soon as we got there, Dejanae was off and Emma and I hit the swings. Corbin was just chilling her carseat, stirring from her afternoon nap.

Emma on the swing next to me.

Corbin waking up, more than likely wondering where she is and why it is so bright!
After a few minutes of swinging myself, I noticed the baby section of the park, and I saw this man and his little baby playing on the swings. I decided that since Corbin is pretty good at holding her head up, she should give it a try! I sat her down in the bucket swing, pulling her little legs through. I then directed her tiny fingers to where she should hold on, and she gripped the little railing like she was a swinging pro! And then we were off!

She seemed a little tentative at first. She kept her head turned to the side and kept staring off in that direction. I think she was just getting adjusted to this new swinging idea.

Then she starts to get a little more brave!
She really loved the swing. Soon she was all smiles!

She sat in the swing like this, as happy as could be, for about fifteen minutes before she got tired of it. It was so fun to be able to take her to the park at such a young age and still watch her have a good time! And it was lots of fun for me, too! We'll definitely have to go more often!

The sun was a little overwhelming, though, so we had to skip out on the swingy-bouncy whale thing. We were getting blinded!

Maybe next time!
And Dejanae had a great time, too!

Too bad they aren't a little closer in age!
And at the end of the day, we had a nice Mommy & Corbi-lou photo-op. :)

This day at the park was just a brief glimpse at the fun that we can have together in the future, and I look so forward to every minute of it!
